Construction of Backbone Air Defence Radar in Sokolnice 2WI 22002
The constructed remote radar post forms an integral part of the Czech Army air force. It is equipped with modern technologies, making it possible to fulfil air-defence tasks arisen from the CR’s membership in NATO. Joint international project in co-operation with NC3A (NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency). Co-financed by NSIP (NATO Security Investment Program).
The investment is characterised by the construction of the crucial unit: the radar tower. The structure provides the required technical, operational and safe facility for the installed radiolocation and communication technology, including the necessary measures needed to guarantee the required conditions both within the premises and outside (electromagnetic radiation hygiene, noise, air pollution). The building has been designed for continuous operation (operators working in shifts).
